Now that the UN has been rendered “irrelevant,” the most pertinent governing body of international opinion in New York may just be the TLC. The Taxi & Limousine Commission oversees the city’s 12,187 licensed yellow cabs and their drivers, men and women who hail from all corners of the globe, from South America to Singapore to Siberia (but as far as I know, not France).
